Change of Category of Park Street Infants School

In accordance with The Change of Category of Maintained Schools(Wales) Regulations 2001 Statutory Instrument 2001 No. 2678(W.219) Education Wales, the governing body of Park Street Infants School intends to invoke this provision. In consequence the governing body of Park Street Infants School hereby give notice of its intention to propose a change of category to Park Street Infants School from a community school, to a Church in Wales voluntary aided school, with effect from 1st September 2004. The governing body gives notice that it will consult anyone with an interest in the proposals to change the status of the school in accordance with the guidance given in NAfW Circular 9/99.The governing body will then publish formal proposals after a period of consultation. The governing body understands that objections may be made by any organisation or individual who objects to the proposals. The governing body will then forward the proposals and any objections received to the National Assembly for Wales where the Minister of Education will make the decision in accordance with the National Assembly's delegation arrangements, School Organisation Proposals, NAfW Circular 23/02.
