Annwyl Rhieni/Ffrindiau,
Dyma ni ar ddiwedd tymor arall o’r Ysgol ond wrth gwrs mae hwn yn ddiwedd
tymor arbennig iawn gan bod yr Ysgol yn mynd ar Cyngor Sir i’r Adolygiad
Barnwrol ar y 26ain, 27ain ar 28ain o Orffennaf yng Nghaerdydd ar gyfer troi’r
penderfyniad o orfod cau’r Ysgol. Fe fydd felly bws yn mynd i fyny ar y Dydd
Llun y 26ain i roi cefnogaeth i’n achos. Fe fydd y Bws yn gadael am 7.00 o
Hermon ac os ydych am ddod ar y Bws bydd eisiau’r enwau ar Anna Wilshaw 01239
831878 neu Michelle Fletcher 01239

a pherthnasau eraill i ddod ar y bws. Yna ar y dydd Mawrth a Dydd Mercher bydd
eisiau trafod faint fydd am deithio ac o bosib rhannu

Fe
fydd yr achos yn un gymhleth iawn ac wrth gwrs bydd eisiau i ni wynebu’r ffaith
bod yna bosibilrwydd o golli. Ond yr ydym wedi derbyn cymorth cyfreithiol i dalu
am hanner y gost o’n cyfreithwyr os wnawn golli. Yr ydym eisoes wedi codi
£20,000 tuag at y costau posib yma ond fe allwn fod yn edrych ar orfod codi
£5,000 eto ar gyfer talu costau llawn o £50,000 i’r cyfreithwyr gyda’r hanner yn
dod o’r cymorth cyfreithiol. Hoffem felly eich hysbysu bod yr yl Roc Celtaidd yn Llanfyrnach ar y 07/08/04
yn edrych i roi elw y diwrnod tuag at ymgyrch gyfreithiol Hermon. Fe fydd felly
angen dipyn o gymorth ar yr yl
wrth rieni Ysgol Hermon ar gyfer sicrhau bod y diwrnod yn gwneud elw digonol. Fe
fydd eisiau cymaint â phosib o stiwardiaid ar y dydd felly gobeithiaf yn wir bod
rieni a ffrindiau ar gael i helpu o 10.00am ymlaen. Fe fydd trefniant
hyfforddi’r stiwardiaid ar nos Fercher 04/08/04 am 7.30 o’r gloch ar faes yr
yl ochr draw Llanfyrnach. Unrhyw
un sydd yn medru helpu os oes modd ichi ddod ach enwau i fi ar 01239 831962 neu
Bill Davies ar 01239 831962. – Diolch
Yn
ystod dydd yr yl Roc yn
Llanfyrnach fe fydd dros 20 o fandiau lleol yn chwarae, mae pob un o’r bandiau
yn rhoi o’i amser am ddim ond yr ydym yn edrych am noddwyr i sicrhau fod bwyd a
diod ar gael i’r bandiau wrth iddynt berfformio. Y mae pwyllgor yr yl felly yn gofyn a oes diddordeb gan rhyw 20
o bobl i roi £20 i noddi band. Diolch i’r rhai sydd wedi roi’r £20 o nawdd
hoffem ofyn a oes gan unrhyw un enw perthynas neu ffrindiau a fyddai’n barod
noddi band am £20.
Yn
ystod y diwrnod hefyd fe fydd gweithgareddau di ri ar gyfer blant o fod oedran –
mae eisiau unrhyw hen ddillad i fynd i’r Babell Gwisgo i fyny a hefyd unrhyw

Dear
Parents/Friends
Here we are again at the end of yet another
term, but this end of term is of course a very important time as we now see the
children and parents of Hermon School take the Local Education Authority to
Judicial Review on the 26th, 27th and 29th of
July in the courts in Cardiff. We will be looking to overturn the counties
decision to close the school. There will therefore be a bus travelling from
Hermon to Cardiff on Monday the 26th of July to support our case. The
Bus will leave at 7.00am from Hermon and those interested must contact Anna
Wilshaw 01239 831878 or Michelle Fletcher 01239 698441 by Monday the
19th of July to confirm bookings. Please also remember that there is
a warm welcome for friends and family to join us on the bus. On the Tuesday and
Wednesday we will need to discuss who will want to share cars and travel over to
Cardiff.
The court case will be a complicate affair
and we have to face the possibility that we might be unsuccessful. But as you
know we have been successful in securing Legal Aid to pay half of our legal
costs should we be unsuccessful. We have already raised £20,000 towards the
costs but we could be looking at having to find about another £5,000 in order to
cover the total bill of £50,000 legal costs from day one. i.e. 50% covered by
Legal Aid. I therefore wish to inform you that the Celtic Blue Rock Community
Festival to be held on the 7th of August is seeking to generate a
surplus that they will give towards our campaign fund. We therefore need to give
full support to the event in order for a substantial contribution to be made to
our school campaign. The event is voluntary with all performers and associated
committee members giving their time free, but there is a need for quite a lot of
stewards and helpers on the days leading up and the actual day of the event from
10.00am onwards. There is a stewards training event planned for Wednesday the
04/08/04 at 7.30pm on the field location – the road to Blaenwaun from
Llanfyrnach. Anyone who can give a few hours to help are most welcomed, please
confirm your availability by phoning me on 01239 831962 or Bill Davies on 01239
831876 – Many thanks.
During the day of the Community Rock
festival at Llanfyrnach there will be over 20 local bands performing, all
performers are giving their time free of charge in the knowledge that the
profits are going to the Hermon School Campaign. But we will need to offer all
members of the bands food and refreshments hence we are seeking band sponsors
who can donate a £20 sum each to raise the funds needed for back stage hosting
area costs. Many thanks to those who have already contributed and I would kindly
ask you to consider anyone else that you or I could approach to see if they
could contribute £20.
During the day there will a vast amount of
activities aimed at children participation – we have been requested to bring
along any old clothing that can be left at the kids dressing up marquee. Also
any seaside toys or buckets and spades that can be borrowed for the huge sand
pit in the middle of the “Village Green “ open air children’s activities area.
Diolch yn Fawr i chi
gyd!
Many thanks to you all!
