TO: Parents of Pupils Attending Blaenffos, Crymych and Hermon C.P. Schools
Dear Parent
You will be aware of the proposals to strengthen primary education in the area and the consultation meetings that have been held to date. Correspondence has been received from the Chairmen of the three Governing Bodies indicating clearly their views. I have also received a letter from a Hermon parent suggesting that Herrnon parents have left meetings without gaining further information about the potential developments at Crymych which, if implemented, would have an effect on the education of their children at Hermon. Whilst such a statement is difficult to substantiate some parents may wish to seek further clarification. Consequently, if you do wish to obtain further clarification you are invited to attend the following:
(i) a "surgery" for individual parents on Thursday 13th March between 1 .pm and 4.pm at Ysgol y Preseli, Crymych; any person who wishes to attend should contact Mrs. Bethan Bowen(on 01437 775861);
(ii) an open meeting for parents of all three schools at Ysgol y Preseli, Crymych, on Thursday 13th March at 7.30 p.m. There will be a reminder of the issues discussed on previous occasions together with an opportunity to raise further issues.
Additionally, the period for observations has been extended to Monday 24th March 2003; if you have any views to express will you please ensure that I receive them by 12 noon on that day.
Copies of information distributed in recent consultation meetings and general correspondence sent on the issues are available for perusal with the heads of the three schools. I ask parents of Hermon to note that copies of correspondence were sent to them on 15thJanuary; and that letters sent to Mrs. Nerys Nicholas on 25th November and 6th December are available with the headteachers at the schools.
Yours sincerely
G.W. Davies
